Bachelor & DWTS Star Melissa Rycroft Engaged!

What a roller coaster ride it has been for Melissa Rycroft in the past year!

Engaged. Not engaged. Filling in at the last minute on Dancing with the Stars and coming in third place. And now she is engaged.
After dating on and off for two years, Rycroft, 26, agreed to marry Dallas insurance agent Tye Strickland on June 26. Strickland, 28, proposed privately at White's Chapel in Southlake, Texas. After Rycroft said yes, the couple then met up with their parents for a celebratory dinner. Later that evening, they joined for family and friends for a reception celebrating their engagement. (Apparently, Strickland was confident she would say yes!)

No wedding date has been set yet, but Melissa will be busy this summer reporting for Good Morning America.

Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett Tie the Knot

Just as they planned, Playboy playmate and reality star, Kendra Wilkinson, married Philadelphia Eagle, Hank Baskett.

The couple tied the knot at the Playboy Mansion on Saturday, at 6:45p.m. in front of 300+ guests. The bride and groom both wore white, as well as Baskett's groomsmen. The bridesmaids wore lavender-colored dresses.

The grounds were adorned with white flowers, as the couple recited traditional vows out in the open on the lawn. Traditional was a theme Wilkinson wanted throughout the ceremony and reception. They danced the first dance to George Strait's "I Cross My Heart," and Wilkinson then danced the second dance with Hefner.

Mr. and Mrs. Baskett are expecting their first child on December 25.

Michael Jackson Has Died!

Pardon the lack of wedding news with this post but according to L.A. based news channel, ABC7, Michael Jackson has died at the age of 50.

Apparently, paramedics were called to his Holmby Hills home because he had gone into cardiac arrest. When they arrived, CPR was being performed. He was rushed to UCLA Medical Center where he was then pronounced dead.

While in the past decade or so, Jackson became somewhat of a recluse and a punch line to many jokes, he was still an amazing talent and will always be the "King of Pop."
Here's some of his wedding history...Jackson married Lisa Marie Presley in 1993. Their marriage didn't even last 2 years. He then remarried dermatologist Deborah Rowe in 1997 and they divorced in 1999.

Is June "Announce You are Getting Divorced/Separated" Month?

I always thought that June was one of the busiest wedding months. But this year, apparently it is also one of the busiest announce you are getting a divorce" month. First it was James Van Der Beek (aka Dawson from Dawson's Creek) divorcing his wife, actress Heather McComb, after 6 years of marriage.

Then, just this past Friday, actor Bradley Whitford and actress Jane Kaczmarek filed for divorce. After 16 years of marriage and 3 kids, the couple has decided to call it quits.

And, as they eluded to on their show tonight, Jon and Kate Plus Eight stars Jon and Kate Gosselin have decided to file for divorce. The couple was married for 10 years and has 8 children together. And, of course, they rose to fame when they decided to chronicle their lives raising 8 kids. Many have criticized that them being a part of the show led to the demise of their relationship. I think their are a lot of elements that go into it, and no matter what, the saddest part of the situation is what these 8 kids have to go through.

Okay, everyone please make nice, remember why you got married, and love the person you are with. No one else is allowed to get divorced this month! Thank goodness June is almost over!

Shot Gun Wedding for Kendra Wilkinson...Sort of

As we all saw on Sunday night's premiere episode of Kendra (the reality show chronicling Girl Next Door Kendra Wilkinson's life now that she has left the Playboy Mansion) Wilkinson and her fiance, Hank Baskett, decided to accept Hugh Hefner's offer to have their wedding at the Playboy Mansion.

The wedding has been set for June 27 for quite some time. During the premiere episode there was even a joke about Wilkinson being pregnant. But, of course, that wasn't true...at least at the time.

Wilkinson has confirmed to E!News that she and Baskett are expecting their first child. No word as to when their bundle of joy is due, but Wilkinson went on to say, "We are touched by the outpouring of support by our family, friends and fans."

I wonder what she is going to do about her wedding dress??? Take it out? Get a new one? I know she has bigger to fish to fry than figuring out what to wear, but hey, it is something that needs to be addressed!

Congrats to both of them!

Spencer and Heidi Tied the Knot - and this Time it's Real!

Yes, our favorite reality couple to hate, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag legally tied the knot this past Saturday. The couple exchanged vows at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena. Naturally, The Hills' camera crews were there to capture the entire event. According to E! News, the wedding was supposed to start at 4p.m., although a technical problem with the camera crew caused the wedding to begin around 5p.m.

The bride, 22, wore a $19,000 Monique Lhuillier wedding gown that she described as a "swan princess dress" while dripping in over a million dollars in Neil Lane diamonds. The groom, 25, also borrowed diamonds from Neil Lane, wearing diamond stud cuff links with his Zegna suit.
After officially tying the knot, the couple then walked out to the front steps of the church to greet their 200 guests, fans and paparazzi. Heidi even decided to throw her bouquet from the top of the church steps. And who caught the bouquet??? Perhaps Lauren's replacement for the next season of The Hills and her longtime Laguna Beach rival, Kristin Cavallari.

Other guests at the wedding included Lauren Conrad (yes, after adamantly saying she would never attend the wedding, she was caught exiting the side entrance doors), Brody Jenner, Audrina Patridge, Perez Hilton, and music producers David Foster and Cathy Dennis.

David Letterman Finally Ties the Knot

They have been dating since 1986. They have a 5-year old son together. And yet David Letterman still remained a bachelor.

That all changed on Thursday when Letterman, 61, married Regina Lasko, 48, in a courthouse ceremony. The couple exchanged vows on March 19 in Choteau, Mont. with their son, Harry, present.

Letterman joked on his show that he avoided marriage for 23 years, and almost didn't get married this past Thursday either because their truck got stuck in the mud on the way to the courthouse.

Vince Vaughn Engaged

A Wedding Crasher engaged?!?! Unbelievable!

Well, with the size of the rock, you better believe it! Our favorite funny man, Vince Vaughn, 38, is engaged to a Calgary Realtor, Kyla Weber.

The pair were spotted out in Santa Monica at the movies over the weekend where other movie-goers were able to see the visual confirmation of their engagement - the $125,000 diamond ring.

Apparently, no wedding date has been set, but Weber, 29, has just recently relocated from Canada to Los Angeles.

Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams Are Married

Reps for both parties have confirmed that actress/singer Mandy Moore and rocker Ryan Adams are married.

The pair wed on Tuesday in Savannah, Georgia, after just revealing their engagement last month.

Moore, 24, has said that she wanted a quiet wedding in the past. She also said, "I kind of feel like, because I've been able to get married in a few films, I kind of got the whole giant wedding fuss out of my system."
This is the first marriage for both Moore and Adams, 34.

The Bachelor is No Longer Engaged...What a Douche Bag!

The title of this post is a direct quote from my husband tonight during the After the Rose show. And I will agree that even if he isn't a douche bag in real life, the producers and show sure did just make him look like one.

If you didn't watch, here is the quick recap. He chose Melissa, proposed to her and jumped into a pool with his super-cute son who was dressed in a tux. Then, he decided after dating Melissa after the show that she wasn't right for him, gave her the boot on the After the Rose show, and then asked his runner-up Molly if he could have a second chance with her.

I mean, come on...how wishy-washy can you be! Molly better watch out! (And on a mean side note, how thrilled must his ex-wife be to say to everyone, "See, I told you so!") I hope this doesn't negatively affect his son in any way...it seems funny how he didn't mention how he was considering his son in the situation at the After the Rose show like he did throughout the season!

Although, keep in mind, this isn't the first time in Bachelor history that a bachelor has dated the runner-up after breaking up with the chosen one. The Italian Prince, Lorenzo, dated Sadie, the runner-up from his season shortly after he gave the final rose to another girl.

In any case, the producers of this show should know that in the world of a show "jumping the shark" when it has seen its last hurrah, this is the case of a show jumping a thousand sharks in the most dramatic Bachelor season ever! Boooo!

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady Tie the Knot in Santa Monica

After just a couple of months' engagement, the New England Patriots' QB, Tom Brady, and his supermodel girlfriend, Gisele Bundchen have tied the knot.

The couple got married tonight at the St. Monica Catholic Church in Santa Monica, Calif., according to UsMagazine.com. The ceremony reportedly started at dusk and was attended only by a few close family members and friends. Brady's son, John Edward Thomas Moynahan, was also in attendance.

Bundchen, 28, walked down the aisle from head to toe in Dolce & Gabbana. The bride wore a form-fitting ivory lace strapless gown with a trumpet skirt, scalloped edges and a long train. Her floor-length veil was adorned with handmade satin roses and an attached satin headband. Even the supermodel's 3 dogs wore matching Dolce & Gabbana floral lace collars.

Brady, 31, and Bundchen began dating back in 2006.

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen Engaged

The ring makes it official, right? Apparently, Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen got engaged back in December. And we just finding out about it in February...impressive!

People.com reported back on February 18 that Bilson and Christensen, both 27, got engaged over the holidays (according to one of Bilson's friends), but this is the first glimpse of actual proof. Reps for both actors have declined to comment.

The actress had her ring on while shopping at Gelson's market in Los Angeles. According to UsMagazine.com, the ring is estimated to be a 2-carat diamond.
The pair appeared in the 2008 movie Jumper together and will appear in another movie, New York, I Love You, this April.
